Joining I Medici

Welcome to I Medici di McGill Orchestra! As the McGill Faculty of Medicine's orchestra since 1989, we are composed of over 50 professional and non-professional musicians — particularly, but not exclusively, students and professionals from the biomedical, medical, or health-related fields. If you are passionate about music and eager to perform with a vibrant and mission-driven orchestra, we’d love to hear from you.

Upload Your Audition Recording

After submitting the form, you'll receive an email within a few days with a personalized Google Drive link to upload your audition. Please submit a 3–5 minute video of you playing a piece of your choice. We may request additional recordings if needed.

Await a Response

Once your video is reviewed by our auditions team, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible with a decision. Successful applicants will be invited to join us for our first rehearsal of the next concert.

Rehearsals & Concerts

We rehearse Monday evenings from 7:00–9:30 PM at the Palmer Amphitheatre (5th floor, McIntyre Medical Building). Our three concert dates this season are:

November 8, 2025 (Church of St. Andrew & St. Paul)
February 8, 2026 (Church of St. Andrew & St. Paul)
May 10, 2026 (Oscar Peterson Hall)

Membership Donations

To help support our mission and cover operational costs, we ask our members for annual donations of:

$150 for students and medical residents
$300 for professionals and employed members
