I Medici di McGill Orchestra

Where music meets medicine.

Now in its 37th Season, I Medici di McGill Orchestra provides Montreal audiences with the healing power of music through concerts benefiting the healthcare community and local charities. In recent seasons, I Medici performed at Benefit Concerts for people affected by the war in Ukraine and Sudan, in Support of Doctors Without Borders.

The orchestra was founded by Dr. Ante L. Padjen in 1989 to reinforce the study of the humanities within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of McGill University. Drawn from a talented pool of students, medical faculty, colleagues, and friends, the intergenerational orchestra brings a unique artistic and social dimension to medical education and the medical profession. Since 2024, the orchestra has welcomed Maestra Lori Antounian as Conductor and Musical Director.
